Free Books Available Feb 28, 2013

I wrote a long post about changes coming due to Amazon's new rules, but it was too drawn-out and I ended up not being sure of my conclusions.  So I'll probably just explain it tomorrow when you'll see what they are anyway (at least to start with..I'll have to see how things go to see whether they worlk.  But in order to continue listing free books, I will REALLY need some careful clicking by you guys, so I hope you will make a point of reading it when I do explain it.

Thank you so very much!

Today's the last day under the old rules--If you were thinking of supporting this blog due to the great free books you've been able to get, today's the last day that I'll get guaranteed commission for any Amazon purchases you make using the affiliate links in the side bar.  Thank you so much in advance--it's your support that makes this possible.

DON'T FORGET!  The third Preparedness Fair starts Saturday! ( it will go live Friday night Pacific time).

WOULD YOU PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD?  The Fair really needs your help!  Really, really really!
--Can you think of someone who might have a preparedness blog or who might be interested in writing a post that they could share here?
--Do you belong to a Facebook group about homesteading and survivalism?
--An internet community or forum on preparedness?
--Would you be willing to share about this so that we can get this buzzing a bit?

Please, would you grab the code for the button that's now on the bottom of the left sidebar, and paste it into the html of a blog post or forum post, or copy and save the picture below onto your computer to then add into a Facebook post with a link\?. Or just write something and add a link? It will make the Fairs so much more interesting to have a large number of participants. Thank you!

If you're new here today, or if you want something to copy for helping spread the word, here's the "blurb."

Have you written anything about preparedness? The new Preparedness Fair is happening every Saturday at Prep Utility Vehicle, and would love to have your post included on it! The focus will be on disaster preparedness, and sharing our experiences and insights that might benefit others, or sharing what we've done lately to be more prepared.

The Western World is panic stricken with the thought that Iran threatens first Israel, then the entire world with nuclear destruction. The Iranian president continues his ranting at the UN that Allah has willed the destruction of the evil Zionists. Old hostilities are tossed aside and new alliances are formed in smoke filled backrooms of the UN, the Kremlin and the White House. Third world nations suddenly become strategically important and the super powers struggle to sort it all out and battle for position. The stakes could not be higher. “

Only a week earlier, Aaron gave his chief of staff, Paula Brackett, an envelope with instructions to, “Open only if something happens to me.” Paula soon finds herself fighting not only for her country, but for her life. While Aaron is in a coma, he is transported in time to personally experience key moments in history. It doesn't take long for those left behind to learn that this tragedy is part of a global event. As people panic, civilization begins to crumble. Luckily, the Secretary of Homeland Security, Daniel Grimshaw, has a plan to restore order. But first, every remaining person must be accounted for and tagged with a mark on their right hand. Unaware of his responsibilities, seventeen-year-old Micah has been preparing for this day. His mother trained him and provided him with the proper tools, but she neglected to tell Micah about the family legacy, his legacy. Joe Cinders
K-2. ”A southwestern Cinderella story with a twist. Way out West, where dreams come true, lived a poor cowboy named Joe Cinders. Joe does all the chores while his mean stepbrothers, Buck, Bart, and Butch Bronco, spend their days counting buzzards in the sky. When pretty Miss Rosalinda invites them to her fall fiesta, the Bronco boys are determined that one of them will sashay her up to the preacher. Poor Joe is left at home to watch the cattle. Suddenly a mysterious fella in baggy overalls appears, and with a few waves of his crooked stick Joe is ready to knock Miss Rosalinda off her feet--if the escaped prize bull doesn't do it first.
